Op de valreep van de koopjesperiode pakt Paramount Home Entertainment uit met Stars for Sale, een prijzenactie die ruim 200 dvd titels permanent in prijs verlaagt! Filmfans mogen zich verwachten aan toppers als The Truman Show, Mission Impossible II, Grease en Tomb Raider dankzij deze actie die op 29 januari 2003 start en ook na de koopjesperiode onbeperkt doorloopt!

Het zonet vermelde klavertje vier is slechts een greep uit het Stars for Sale assortiment. De naam zegt het al: kwaliteitstitels tegen een aantrekkelijke prijs. Voor 20 euro of 22,50 euro kan je voortaan al een Paramount topper aan je dvd-collectie toevoegen!

Nog goed nieuws. Bij meer dan 1 miljoen Stars for Sale dvd's zit een krasbiljet waarmee je onder andere een reis naar de Paramount studio's in Hollywood kan winnen.

De Stars for Sales actie komt er niet zomaar. Martine van Amerongen, supervisor marketing bij Paramount Home Entertainment Benelux: "Wij houden ons intensief bezig met marktonderzoek. Zo zijn wij op dit moment bezig met een grootschalig onderzoek naar de dvd-koper en hebben wij reeds een prijsonderzoek laten uitvoeren onder de doelgroep. Om de meerderheid van de markt tot aanschaf van dvd's te laten overgaan, is de prijs een belangrijke factor. Om op het instrument prijs in te spelen, introduceren wij met ingang van 29 januari 2003 onze Stars for Sale actie."

Een recent marktonderzoek van Paramount Home Entertainment leert ons dat de dvd niet meer is weg te denken uit de entertainment branche. De dvd-speler is op succesvolle wijze geïntroduceerd en geaccepteerd door de markt. De penetratie van de dvd-speler is op dit moment ruim 12% en stijgt nog steeds fors. We bevinden ons momenteel in de groeifase. De innovators en de early adopters hebben dvd inmiddels geaccepteerd. De early majority volgt al. We gaan dus richting massa acceptatie.
